Guido's Restaurant, nestled on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles, is set to close its doors for good in May/June 2025, leaving a poignant void in the local dining scene. Renowned for its classic Italian dishes, Guido's has become a beloved destination for those craving authentic flavors and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The restaurant has consistently delighted diners with standout dishes like the lobster ravioli, praised for its rich vodka sauce that elevates every bite. Patrons, such as Jose Sanchez and Olivia Gregory, have raved about the attentive service and generously sized portions, including the indulgent lasagna and melt-in-your-mouth chicken fettuccine alfredo. The warm bread served with balsamic vinegar adds a perfect touch to the dining experience, making each meal feel special. The charm of Guido's lies in its old-school decor, featuring red leather booths and soft jazz that create a cozy ambiance. However, as the countdown to its closure begins, regulars and newcomers alike are feeling the bittersweet nostalgia. Many, including the thoughtful review from Sadra Sabouri, express a deep sadness over its impending farewell. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a cherished memory waiting to be savored one last time. Don't miss the chance to experience Guido's before it says goodbye—it's a piece of culinary history you won't want to forget.

We tried this place tonight, and was blown away by the amazing food and service. The warm bread served with balsamic vinegar, and oil was a great starter. I had the Lasagna, it was a large portion with a great meat sauce. We also had the chicken fettuccine alfredo, the fresh made noodles practically melted in your mouth. My drink was never empty the whole time, and I never had to ask for a refill. That's another thing that I loved about this place, not to mention the great atmosphere. This will be a restaurant I will definitely come back to.

Guido's Salad with Lettuce, Bologna Salami, Mozzarella, Garbanzo Beans, and Italian House Dressing. Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. This Italian Restaurant has an old school charm, with red leather booths, soft lighting and romantic jazz and Italian music playing in the background. Our waiter was attentive and let us hang out at our table until close while we nursed our drinks and it was very nice. The house salad was well balanced and perfect to split between 2 people. The Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken was tasty as expected, but the real show stopper was the Lobster Ravioli in Vodka Sauce. Honestly anything in that sauce would be delicious!

This place was exactly what I needed! The food and wine is delicious, reasonably priced, fantastic service! It’s a gem, and you won’t find many other places that feel as genuine and authentic in LA

It's sad they're closing the place. We had a great night there. It was like grandmother's home nights and we didn't want to leave there. The food was in good quality but maybe not the best Italian cuisine I've ever had.

I lived in LA 26 years ago and dined at Guidos with my family frequently Always loved going there. I will always remember the pecan pie your mother made. Good Luck in whatever you are going to do Guido. Time for retirement?

I brought my twin 18-year-old daughters here for dinner on our trip to LA and the owner was so hospitable to us. He sat us at a booth facing a fireplace. The food was delicious and the staff was top notch. The owner showed us where movies had been filmed there and gave a wonderful talk to my daughters. Highly recommend!

Classic red sauce joint. Rich and cozy decor with dark red booths and dark woodwork, and a fireplace. Food is great. If Frank Sinatra didn’t eat here, he should have!
